  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract
  • ½ cup whole milk

Topping:

  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add Eggs and Flavorings: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
