Ingredients
Salmon Bites
- 1 lb fresh salmon, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
Garlic Cream Sauce
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Prepare the basket by lightly spraying it with cooking spray or brushing with olive oil to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the Salmon Bites: Toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and paprika if using. Arrange them in a single layer in the air fryer basket to ensure even cooking.
- Air Fry the Salmon: Cook the salmon bites for 7-10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. Cook until they are golden brown and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: While the salmon cooks, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant without browning.
- Simmer the Sauce: Stir in the heavy cream and lemon juice, then simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Season the Sauce: Add salt and pepper to taste, then remove the sauce from heat.
- Combine and Garnish: Drizzle the garlic cream sauce over the cooked salmon bites and garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a burst of color and flavor.
- Serve: Serve the salmon bites immediately as an appetizer or alongside your favorite sides for a complete meal.
Notes
- For best results, ensure salmon pieces are uniform in size for even cooking.
- If you don’t have an air fryer, salmon bites can be cooked in a skillet over medium-high heat for about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Adjust paprika amount or omit it for less spice or different flavor profiles.
- The garlic cream sauce can be made ahead and gently reheated before serving.
- Check the internal temperature of salmon with a meat thermometer to ensure safety and optimal texture.
