Description

This Air Fryer Lemon Pepper Chicken recipe is a flavorful and easy way to enjoy tender and juicy chicken with a crispy exterior. The zesty lemon and savory spices create a delicious dish perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts

Seasoning:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional for Serving:

  • lemon wedges and chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken: In a large bowl, toss the chicken with olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Cook the chicken: Place the chicken pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 16–20 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the outside is golden and slightly crispy.
  4. Rest and serve: Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • This recipe works well with chicken wings or drumsticks too—adjust cook time accordingly.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with roasted veggies, salad, or rice.
