Description

These crispy, creamy Air Fryer Imitation Crab Bites are a crowd-pleasing seafood snack made with simple ingredients and loads of flavor. Perfect for parties, appetizers, or a fun twist on weeknight dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup imitation crab meat, chopped
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chopped imitation crab, cream cheese, green onions, garlic powder, and soy sauce until fully combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls, about walnut-sized. Chill for 10–15 minutes if too sticky to shape.
  3. Beat egg in one bowl and place panko in another. Dip each crab ball in egg, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Arrange bites in the basket in a single layer. Spray generously with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until golden and crisp.
  6. Cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • To use real crab, ensure it’s well-drained and flaked before mixing.
  • Try gluten-free panko and imitation crab for a GF version.
  • Serve with sriracha mayo, cocktail sauce, or sweet chili sauce.
  • Keep warm in a 200°F oven if serving a large batch.
