Description

This easy Air Fryer Fish recipe delivers crispy, golden fish fillets without the mess of deep frying. Perfect for a quick and healthy weeknight dinner, it’s packed with flavor and crunch thanks to panko breadcrumbs and a few simple seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (cod, haddock, or tilapia)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley or dill (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Set up three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten egg, and one with panko mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pat fish fillets dry. Dip each in flour, then egg, then panko, pressing to adhere.
  3. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or olive oil. Place coated fillets in a single layer.
  4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with lemon wedges and optional herbs for garnish.

Notes

  • Be sure to pat fish dry before breading to help the coating stick.
  • Don’t overcrowd the air fryer—cook in batches if needed.
  • Add cayenne or chili powder to the panko for a spicy kick.
