Description

These Air Fryer Chicken Patties are a quick and healthy option for a delicious homemade meal. Made with ground chicken and seasoned with garlic, onion, paprika, and black pepper, these juicy patties cook perfectly in the air fryer, resulting in a crispy outside and tender inside. Ready in just 20 minutes, they are perfect for a simple lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken (450g)
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (30g)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and ground black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  2. Form patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a round patty approximately ½-inch thick, weighing about 133g each.
  3. Prepare air fryer: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray to prevent sticking. Place the patties in a single layer inside the basket; a slight touching of edges is fine. Brush the tops of the patties with olive oil to aid browning.
  4. Cook patties: Air fry the patties at 400°F (204°C) for 7 minutes. Then, carefully flip the patties and cook for an additional 3 to 5 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.

Notes

  • You can substitute the breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Use a meat thermometer to accurately check the internal temperature for perfectly cooked patties.
  • Serve the patties on a bun or with a side salad for a complete meal.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Adjust the seasoning according to your taste preferences.
