Description
Festive and fun 4th of July Rice Krispie Treats made with colorful sprinkles and a marshmallow base. Perfect for patriotic celebrations and easy to prepare for parties or gatherings.

- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
- 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles
- Red and blue food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch pan with butter or nonstick spray and set aside.
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add the mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- If using food coloring, divide the mixture into three parts and color two of them red and blue. Leave one part white.
- Mix 2 cups of Rice Krispies into each portion and stir until evenly coated.
- Layer the red, white, and blue mixtures in the prepared pan, pressing each layer down gently with a buttered spatula or wax paper.
- Sprinkle the top with red, white, and blue sprinkles and press lightly so they stick.
- Let cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares and serve.
Notes
- You can use large marshmallows instead of mini; just measure 10 oz.
- To avoid sticking, lightly grease your hands or use wax paper when pressing layers.
- These treats can be made a day ahead and stored in an airtight container.
