- Paneer / Cottage cheese – 250 grams
- Onions – 3 medium
- Tomato – 1 big
- Cashews – 15
- Cardamom – 2 pods
- Cloves – 4
- Ginger & garlic – 1tbsp
- Coriander seeds – ½ tbsp
- Cumins seeds – ½ tbsp
- Milk – 6 -7 tbsp
- Salt -1 ½ (as per your taste)
- Chilly powder – 1- 1 ½ tbsp(as per your taste)
- Oil – 3 tbsp
- Water – 1/4th cup
- Turmeric powder – 1/4th tbsp
- Sugar – a little bit
- Masala powder – ½ tbsp
how to make paneer curry with step by step photos:
1.Soak cashews in milk for ½ hour.
2.Cut the paneer into desired shapes.
3.To prepare gravy, take a mixy jar add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cardamom seeds(remove the shell of elachi), salt, chilly powder, cloves, turmeric powder, onions, ginger & garlic, sugar and make them into fine paste with the help of water.
4.Heat a mini pressure cooker or kadai , add oil & above gravy, fry the gravy for 4 min.
5.Blend the tomatoes into puree texture in the same mixy jar.
6.Now add tomato puree & fry for another 3 min.
7.Now blend the soaked cashews along with milk into paste.
8.Now add cashew paste & fry until it oozes out oil from its surroundings.
9.Now add paneer pieces & masala powder and fry for few seconds.
10.Now add water and pressure cook for 2 – 3 whistles.
11.Enjoy this easy & rich paneer curry with naans/ rotis / rice/poori.
- Add only firm panner to do this curry.
- If you prepare this curry in kadai then you need more quantity of water (more than ½ glass).
- You have to stir the paneer curry for every 2-3 min until paneer pieces gets cooked.
